I spent the weekend watching the unpredictable events in Russia. What a roller coaster ride. Of course, in the back of my mind is the worry about the War with Ukraine and all those nuclear weapons Russia possesses. 

Spending a couple of days without Trump News seems almost impossible. Monday, CNN bumped Russia from being the lead story for a short time when it aired the audio tape of Trump allegedly discussing classified documents with two unnamed women. The Special Counsel's Office identifies one as a Trump "Staffer."

And stupidity reins on on the House Floor as two Republican lawmakers fight over who Impeaches Joe Biden first.

A LOOK AT THE ESPIONAGE CHARGES AGAINST TRUMP

Former President Donald Trump was Arrested Today, he was booked, electronic fingerprinted, and then appeared before a judge in Miami Federal Court. 

He did not speak. His lawyers pleaded Not Guilty. Then he was released. 

Also in court, Trump's valet, assistant and co-conspiracy defendant Waltine Nauta. 

Trump faces 37 Federal Criminal Charges, related to the Classified Documents he moved from the White House to his home at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida. He says he had the right to move them and keep them. 

WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE ESPIONAGE CHARGES.

In this episode of Political Woman, I look at the 31 Espionage Charges. This will give you an idea of what is in the documents that Trump kept in a bathroom, one of the Mar-a-Lago Ballrooms, on his desk, and in various hallways and unlocked storage rooms. 

The secret Classified documents can mean life or death for Americans in the military or in Government Service. The legal penalities for retaining Classified Documents are strict and have resulted in lengthy prison sentences and in some cases the death penalty.

A Grand Jury in Florida INDICTS Donald Trump!

A Federal Indictment has charged former President Donald Trump with 37 Counts of violations of criminal laws, including Willful Retention of National Defense Information, Obstruction of Justice, and Conspiracy.

The charges relate to the boxes of documents moved from the White House to Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida.

This is a quote from the Indictment:

"The classified documents TRUMP stored in his boxes included information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack. The unauthorized disclosure of these classified documents could put at risk the national security of the United States, foreign relations, the safety of the United States military, and human sources and the continued viability of sensitive intelligence collection methods."

The Indictment comes after almost of year of attempts by the The National Archives to retrieve the highly classified documents and another six months of subpeoeas by the Justice Department to get them all returned.

Trump's personal assistant, Walt Nauta has also been charged. 

The Indictment includes pictures and audio recordings. 

 

Trump has been ordered to appear in Federal Court on Tuesday, June 13.

For the first time in the History of the United States, a former US President has been Indicted on Federal Criminal Charges. 

A Grand Jury in Miami voted to indict Donald Trump late Thursday afternoon. Trump's attorneys were notified, and he was informed at about 7 p.m.

Shortly after that, he posted videos and statements on social media sites. At the same time, his staff began blasting out fundraising e-mails and texts. 

Trump has been ordered to appear in Miami Federal Court on Tuesday, June 13, at 3 p.m.

This timeline begins two days before President Donald J. Trump was scheduled to leave the White House. On that Day, dozens of boxes of documents were packed up and shipped South from Washington, D.C., to Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

Department of Justice investigators and attorneys are still gathering evidence concerning this unprecedented case.

Historically, other Presidents have retained "Classified Documents" after leaving office. Still, as far as we know, none were investigated for keeping those papers or refusing to return them to the National Archives, which Federal Law requires.
